Tucked away in tropical jungle only a few minutes' walk to a white sand beach, Hibiscus Villa offers the ultimate in private luxury. Ideal for those wishing to escape the world in complete comfort.

The villa has an open-plan design with the kitchen flowing directly into the dining area and on to one of two spacious lounges. Glass doors can be left open during the day to allow in the breeze and sunlight. Hard wood floors and carved furnishings highlight local artistry and craftsmanship, lending an air of decadence to the home. An arm of the infinity pool separates the ground floor living and dining space from two bedrooms.

The downstairs bedrooms include a luxurious water-facing room with a king bed and a jungle-facing room with two twin-beds and two pull-out beds. All bedrooms are en-suite and an additional full bath with standing shower is located on the ground floor. The beautifully decorated master bedroom is upstairs and has a large balcony looking out toward the South China Sea.

The fully-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and full-size refrigerator and freezer with an ice-maker. An outdoor gas-fueled BBQ is ideal for grilling local fish and vegetables, easily purchased in the area. Breakfast is provided and a private chef can be arranged. The staff can assist with takeaway from local restaurants and will stock the fridge with your desired libations once you let them know what you'd like. Bear in mind that options are somewhat limited in this part of Borneo.

Upstairs is a library and sitting area ideal for watching the sunset or catching up on a bit of reading. There are multiple seating areas outside including a covered dining pavilion. A small paddling pool sits downhill from the infinity pool with sun loungers.

Mountain bikes and stand-up paddle boards are available for rent and area activities include golf, diving, surfing, fishing, jungle trekking, wildlife viewing on a mangrove cruise, cultural visits to traditional villages and even a jungle survival course can be arranged.

Hibiscus Villa is located at the Tip of Borneo, approximately a three-hour drive from Kota Kinabalu. Hiring a car is the easiest way to reach the villa and to get around the surrounding area but transfers can be arranged. Flights are offered from nearby Kudat to Sandakan three days per week.
