On the lakeside edge of Batang Ai National Park, the Aiman Batang Ai Resort provides comfortable rooms and facilities with access to a canopy walk through the jungle. Designed in keeping with local longhouse and Iban custom, the resort has communal balconies ideal for watching the sunset and chatting with other guests.

Rooms are divided into different wings so the resort doesn't feel quite as large as it is. All feature hardwood floors and furnishings, ceiling fans, and air conditioning. Rooms can be set with one king or two double beds. For families and those seeking more space, Duplex Suites offer two-story homes away from home with a lower level living space and upstairs bedroom.

Meals are available at the Nanga Mepi restaurant which serves a variety of Sarawakian and international cuisine. Guided walks into the rainforest provide excellent views of the manmade Batang Ai lake from a canopy bridge. A longboat ride to a waterfall, fishing excursion, and a guided trek to the Indonesian border can all be arranged with the resort.

The hotel is located atop a hill and at least a few stairs are unavoidable. It's reached by a 30-minute boat ride and is quite close to the border with Kalimantan, the Indonesian part of Borneo. It takes more than three hours to reach the region from Kuching so we'll always plan your itinerary with interesting stops along the way.

Aiman Batang Ai Resort will undergo renovation in stages beginning 1 April 2020 and will remain open throughout.
