Getting around Greece is easily arranged in advance.
We have a dedicated team of drivers throughout the Ionian whom we have worked with for years – they are reliable and friendly and know our crews extremely well. They can also help you with getting around before and after your holiday on board.
We highly recommend arranging transfers with us in advance – particularly for your arrival – to ensure a smooth transition to your yacht. The airports are exceptionally busy in summer and it can take a long time to find an unbooked taxi.
We can of course also arrange transfers from ferry terminals or hotels if you are staying on one of the islands already or arriving by ferry.
Upon arrival at the airport, one of our drivers will meet you and transfer you to the marina to meet your crew. They will call your Captain directly en route to ensure they are waiting to greet you at the marina. If you have an earlier arrival than your boarding time, the crew will bring some beach towels for you to use at the pool in the marina and arrange a complimentary drink. They will also take your larger bags, leaving you free to enjoy your afternoon, basking in the sunshine or exploring.
Throughout your week, if there are places you would like to visit on the islands themselves, your crew can help arrange taxis to pick you up and drop you off at your yacht. In the summer, let the crew know in the morning so they can phone ahead: some of the smaller islands only have two of three taxis in total!
Toward the end of your holiday, your crew will also help organise onward travel for you, either to the airport or perhaps to your next destination.
