Fleewinter

This charming 1960’s building was once the private residence of a French family. Today this 22-bed hotel is one of the many aesthetically pleasing buildings that make Vientiane so different to elsewhere is south-east Asia. The owners have made the most of the mod architecture giving the place a chic contemporary update mixed with classic touches.

The handsome rooms feature dark hardwood floors while black and white tones are paired beautifully with a bold accent colour. Rooms get plenty of natural light and you have all the modern amenities including WiFi, flatscreen TV, plush four-poster beds, French press and kettle. The bathrooms are a dream with high-end fixtures and finishings, a rain shower and hairdryer.

There are three room types; the superior, deluxe and suite. The superior rooms are the entry-level room and are of a good size but the deluxe are a nice upgrade. The five Deluxe rooms are located in the former kitchen and laundry building, featuring the original beams of the roof, and are more spacious. Meanwhile the suites are the largest room of all featuring a balcony or a bath tub.

There is a small library for relaxing and complimentary wifi is available throughout the hotel. Breakfast and light meals throughout the day can be taken in a shaded sala or a quiet corner of the garden.

Mandala Boutique Hotel is located in the eastern outskirts of the town centre, on a quiet lane running between Setthathirath Rd, a seven-minute bike ride to central hub of restaurants. It is just a 15-minute drive from the airport.
