The three-star Khan Tengri Hotel is one of the best places to stay in Naryn. It’s just outside the town, so you can find peace and quiet here after action-packed days exploring. A short drive will take you into the centre of Naryn, where you can wander around its art galleries and museums and stop for a bite to eat at a riverside café, serving traditional shashlik (similar to a shish kebab).
The hotel is named after the Tian Shan mountains’ second highest peak. It’s modern, with lots of space and flashes of vibrant greenery. Intricate Kyrgyz tapestries hang from fresh white walls, giving the décor an authentic touch. At breakfast, you’ll have a great choice of continental and buffet dishes. Dinner is also served at the hotel, or you can catch a taxi into town and try out one of the local restaurants.
The staff are very welcoming, and the front desk is open 24 hours a day to help with anything you need. Rooms are light and airy, and generous in size. They all come with a flat-screen TV and Wi-Fi.
