The great outdoors will be your playground at this humble and inviting homestay. Backed by the Baba-Ata Mountains, it tucks itself away among lush apple and pear orchards in the picturesque alpine village of Arslanbob. There are hikes, mountain biking and skiing close by, but the superstar attraction here is the famous walnut forest. It’s the largest of its kind in the world and an enchanting place for a picnic or peaceful walk among age-old trees and rushing waterfalls.

Arslanbob Homestay gives you the chance to experience daily life in Kyrgyzstan, staying with a friendly local family in their home. You’ll be very well looked after here and enjoy a great experience that you can tell people about back at home. The hosts will treat you like family, helping you with any travel arrangements and sharing their favourite things to do in the area – from must-visit hotspots to off-the-beaten-track gems.

Every morning you’ll wake up to a delicious spread of pancakes, homemade jam and omelettes for breakfast, then you can try some home-cooked Kyrgyz and Uzbek specialities for dinner. Rooms are simple, with comfortable beds, Wi-Fi and shared bathroom facilities.
