By the apple orchards and near the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake, Almaluu Yurt Camp – one of our basic yurt camps – edges Bokonbaevo, a hub for back-to-nature activities such as trekking and fishing. The camp’s idyllic village setting makes it a peaceful place to relax, while you can also get an insight into the daily lives of the Kyrgyz people.

The yurts are simple and authentic, with views over the mountains, and you have the option to upgrade to a premium yurt with comfy queen-size beds. All yurts have heating and electricity. There are shared toilet facilities and outdoor showers with hot water in the shared area of the camp.

You can soothe tired muscles in the sauna after a day of hiking, cycling, and exploring the local area; and take some time to chill out on the beach, looking out over the water. Eating is a social activity here, dining together with other guests in the main yurt. Breakfast is included in your stay and you can return for a hearty evening meal, when the kitchen cooks up a feast of homemade Kyrgyz dishes and fruity desserts, using fresh ingredients from the farm.
