Lewa Wilderness houses 6 hillside cottages, and 3 garden cottages, each with their own en-suite facilities, inside fireplace and private veranda. Guests staying in the hillside cottages are treated to views of the surrounding valley and the sounds of the flowing river. These cottages are uniquely designed to take advantage of the uneven hillside, giving them each a distinctly different character. The 3 garden cottages form part of the original rooms built by the founders of the lodge. These cottages are ideal for families, or those wanting to be closer to the main living areas. They consist of two en-suite bedrooms, as well as a living area with a bar and fireplace. The well-kept lawns surrounding the cottages are open for guests to enjoy at any time. These cottages have views of the bush pool, and the Lewa Wilderness valley below.

In the evenings, guests can be seen gathering around the log fire in the sitting room, sharing stories while sipping on drinks. Dinner and breakfast is usually served in the dining room which offers fantastic views of the hillside, allowing you game spotting opportunities while you dine! Guests also have the use of the veranda and library area of the main house, the infinity swimming pool, as well as the gym and tennis court, all with views of the surrounding environment.

Lewa Wilderness offers its guests a variety of activities. Lewa Wilderness is home to a variety of wildlife, with an impressively large elephant herd. Game viewing can be done from the fully-equipped safari vehicles, on-foot with an expert Masai walking guide, on horse or camel back, or from the air in an open-cockpit biplane! Guests can also enjoy a treetop canopy walk, a swim in the waterfalls and a picnic lunch at Ngare Ndare forest, located close to the reserve. There are also two craft workshops located on the reserve, which guests are welcome to visit and enjoy, as well as an authentic Masai village where guests are always welcomed.

Lewa Wilderness is the ideal destination for couples and families to enjoy a variety of activities, whilst still being able to relax and enjoy the sights, sounds and warm hospitality of Kenya. Speak to us about how to include Lewa Wilderness in your East African Safari holiday!
