The Ol Pajeta Conservancy is located on 360km2 of natural wilderness and is home to the largest black rhino population in East Africa. The conservancy is also home to the last 2 Northern Rhino and was the home of the famous Sudan until his passing in early 2018. The Ol Pajeta Conservancy is passionate about nature conservation, and is a real place of sanctuary and safety for these highly endangered animals.
The next 2 nights of your Kenya Northern Circuit safari holiday will be spent in the Samburu National Reserve. The Samburu National Reserve is a wildlife rich area, home to a large elephant population, making for some exciting game viewing! The reserve is also home to the five Northern species – the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx. Your accommodation here will be in a traditional tented safari camp, where with any luck you will see elephant and other game strolling right through the campsite!
On day 5 of your trip the road takes you in the direction of the Lewa Conservancy region, where you will be spending the final 3 nights of your holiday. You’re in for a treat with a variety of game drives, guided bush walks, horseback and camel rides! The Lewa Conservancy is 250km2 and covers diverse landscapes including the Ngare Ndare Forest, making it a wonderful place for viewing a diverse range of game, including the ‘big 5’! The family-owned game lodge where you will be staying offers a variety of activities for everyone.
