The Kenya Adventure Safari itinerary will have you spending 7 days exploring the Laikipia region, as well as some of the more remote areas of Kenya.
Your Kenya Adventure Safari holiday will start off in the Laikipia region. Laikipia county is a cosmopolitan area of Kenya and a popular travel destination, however, it is definitely not without the natural wilderness that Kenya is known for. The region is a vast open plain, well known for its wildlife, including the rare Bongo and African Wild Dog, and ‘big 5’, amongst others – making it a great destination for game viewing. Spend your days here going on day and night game drives and guided walking safaris, perhaps spending a morning tracking the wild dogs with an experienced tracker!
Day 4 of your Kenya Adventure Safari takes you to the Tumaren Camp in the Laikipia region. For the next 3 nights you will immerse yourself in the wild and ancient bushveld of the Tumaren Ranch. The first night of your stay will be spent beside an ancient rocky outcrop, from which you’ll enjoy sundowners and a spectacular view, before retiring back to the campsite for a delicious freshly-prepared meal. The rest of the safari will be spent exploring the Acacia bush and all the wonders it has to offer, from lion, leopard, hyena and wild dog to a large variety of prey animals, both big and small. The bulk of the luggage will be carried from campsite to campsite by the kind and generous walking camels of Tumaren Ranch.
This unique 7-day Kenya Adventure Safari will have you exploring some of the more remote areas of Kenya, accompanied by expert guides and trackers who are always willing to share their knowledge with those who come to visit these ancient grounds.
Days 1-3 - Laikipia region
Arrival in Nairobi where you will meet up with a local representative, who will assist you to Wilson Airport, catching an internal flight to the Laikipia region. The first 3 nights of your Kenya adventure will be spent at Laikipia Wilderness. This small and intimate camp site allows for the day’s activities to be planned around you, from day and night game drives, to walking safaris, fishing, bird watching, fly camping, guided walks, wild dog tracking & bush meals.Accommodation
Days 4-6 - Tumaren Camp
Today the road takes you to Tumaren Camp. Things get a bit wilder, as you will spend the next 3 nights sleeping in a spacious Kodiak tent on the Tumaren Ranch. This part of your journey will take you on a 3-night Classic Walking Safari, exploring some of the more remote parts of Kenya with expert guides and trackers who will happily share their knowledge and wisdom of the area with you. Day 7 - Return to Nairobi
It’s time to end your Kenya Adventure Safari holiday and head back home.
Enjoy a last freshly-prepared breakfast before being transferred to Nanyuki airstrip, where you will catch a flight to Wilson airport in Nairobi.
Upon arrival at Wilson Airport you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, before catching the connecting flight back home.
