Sushukinohara Ichinoyu is located in a quiet area surrounded by nature with a convenient mini market right next door. Daigatake bus stop is located next to the main door and a 30 minutes ride by bus (Tozan Bus, line T) will take you to Hakone Station. Togendai Station is just nine minutes away by bus; from there you can take the rope-car to continue sightseeing in the Hakone area or hop on the pirate ship for a lovely cruise through the volcanic lake Ashi.

Rooms are very modern but nod to the style of authentic ryokans and include their own private outdoor onsen with lovely mountain views. With lovely wood beams in the roof and walls, sliding doors, low western-style beds and traditional furniture, the rooms are a perfect harmony between tradition and modernity.

The in-house restaurant is a stylish, modern and comfortable space decorated with thoughtful Japanese touches, works of art and handicrafts, and lovely views of nature. A rotating menu of delicious seasonal traditional Japanese dishes offers guests something new to try every night.

A delicious Japanese breakfast and dinner are included in the room price and free drinks (including alcohol) after available during the dinner.

Susukinohara has two lovely common hot spring baths for guests, one indoors and one outdoors. The first one has big windows to contemplate the peaceful views while the outdoors bath is surrounded by trees and spread over several different levels, perfect for taking in the views.
