Shinanoki (Annex) is a modern ryokan known for the good quality food. Rooms feature a traditional design where the use of natural materials and elements is predominant reflecting the authentic simple essence of a traditional ryokan. Rooms are simple yet comfortable and the majority of them are equipped with a lovely open-air hot spring.


The hotel features different room types and two different bed options from traditional tatami to low beds. Every room is equipped with a kotatsu (foot warmer) table, a refrigerator, a TV and kettle.


There are two kinds of shared hot springs in the property that all guests can enjoy: one is a sulphurous spring and the other is an alkaline plain spring.


The ryokan has a bus stop right in front of it and it is well communicated with bus from Hakone to Yumoto Station taking 25 minutes and Odawara Station taking 45 minutes. The Venetian Glass museum is nearby and in a short 20 minute bus ride you will to get to Gora Station from where you can connect to other transport to explore the Hakone area.
