Modern aesthetics, delicious dining and a beautiful Japanese pond garden give this hotel its unique, refined and tranquil ambiance. The Four Seasons Kyoto is, without doubt, one of our favourite choices in the city.

"Do not miss the outdoor terrace at night. Enjoy the peaceful view of the 800-year-old Japanese pond garden, the teahouse and the cosy lights shimmering on the waters of the pond... It is a wonderful memory that I could never forget!"

Intimate and contemporary, Four Seasons Kyoto is located in the southern part of the Higashiyama District, one of the city's best-preserved historical districts.

Narrow alleys, typical wooden Japanese houses, small traditional restaurants and shops, temples and shrines make this neighbourhood one of the most charismatic in Japan.

Very well located, the Four Seasons is very close to many top sightseeing options including the Kyoto National Museum, which is just a five-minute walk away, or the Sanjusangen-do Temple, just seven minutes away by foot. The hotel is less than 10 minutes away by taxi from Kyoto Station and easily reachable by public transport too.

Rooms and Suites

All rooms are spacious, luminous, comfortable and stylish. The highlight of the hotel lies in its exquisite design, ambiance and decoration, which is finished with refined luxurious Japanese touches such as silk brocade cushions woven by Hosoo, a prestigious Kyoto atelier where textiles are produced for Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Dior.

Large floor-to-ceiling windows allow you to enjoy scenic views over the pond Japanese gardens or the nearby temples.

Dining

Four exquisite restaurant options are available at the hotel as well as in-room dining.
