This hotel was made for those who seek out good food, wine, relaxation and wellness. Built between the 17th and 19th century, the property has been sensitively restored and in keeping with its rural surroundings. Offering an authentic stay, all of the rooms are different but themed with white-washed walls and vintage furniture. Situated in the countryside between Oria and Manduria, this is the heart of Salento.

Located just 1.2 miles from central Oria, a pretty medieval town which has a number of delicious local eateries to pick from. The hotel is scattered amongst the grounds, with some rooms in the peaceful annex area which can be reached by car, bike, foot or golf buggy (only 300 metres away!).

This country house prides itself on sustainability, with an extensive vegetable garden and solar powered water and electrics. In addition to the tastefully decorated rooms, there is also a reception, club house, wine bar, shop, restaurant, spa and salt water swimming pool. We recommend booking an organic olive oil treatment after a long day at the beach!

All rooms have their own private entrance with air-conditioning and WIFI. A welcome aperitif is served with freshly picked vegetables from the property's organic garden. Some rooms feature a fireplace, which is a lovely touch during the cooler months.

Breakfast includes fruit and jam from the farm, together with eggs from the garden and homemade ricotta cheese. You must also try their homemade almond ice-cream!

The Palombara has 2 outdoor pools, an outdoor gym, a chapel, an outdoor cinema and complimentary rental bikes. We can also arrange yoga, mountain biking and cookings classes in the masseria's grounds.

The Restaurant at Masseria Palombara is authentic, cozy, and informal - the perfect place for eating, drinking and socialising. It is lovely both at winter time in front of the fireplace, or alfresco on balmy summer evenings. The menu changes seasonally and they are happy to cater to all diets, vegan and celiac included. During the summer months they arrange weekly BBQs by the vegetable garden, on long farmhouse style tables. Can you get more farm to fork?

Parking is free. The closest sandy beach is in Campomarino, 12.4 miles from the property.

All rooms and suites have independent access and private furnished patio, free parking, wifi, bicycles and pool towels.

No television in the rooms. No children under 12 allowed. No pets allowed.

There is much to do in the surrounding area, including many beautiful sandy beaches, the handmade colourful ceramics of Grottaglie, baroque town Lecce, the caves of Matera, the trulli town of Alberobello and its ‘trulli’, plus many wine cellars full of Primitivo wine in the nearby Manduria!

The nearest airport is Brindisi which takes approx 30 mins by car. And Bari airport is about an hour and a half by car. There is also the option of getting the train.
