Le Dimore dell’Acqua is a charming, comfortable base from which you can easily explore the beguiling city of Matera and its ancient cave dwellings of the Sassi. The location is excellent for exploring on foot, and is also only a short walk to Murgia Materana Park - another UNESCO World Heritage Site and a spectacular place for hikes.

The 8 rooms at the guesthouse all offer a private balcony boasting views across the city. All rooms are decorated with a soft colour palate, in keeping with the pale stone typical of the Sassi but with a contemporary twist. All rooms feature a comfortable double bed and private en-suite shower room, whilst the suite also has the benefit of a large private terrace which is a wonderful place to relax overlooking the city! WiFi is available free of charge throughout the property and rooms.

The fantastic location of the property means guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to places to eat and drink locally. The wonderful host Domenico is always happy to offer recommendations and suggestions for great little local places and highlights of the city. Breakfast is included in the stay.
