Hotel Belvedere Isola Pescatori - IPM003

A lovely boutique restaurant and hotel with a special location on Lake Maggiore!

Take an early morning walk from the hotel to experience this small island waking up. Walking the narrow streets as fresh coffee is brewed and food for the day is being prepared is a lovely experience!

19 Bedrooms, Sleeps 38

Hotel Belvedere is a charming hotel and ristorante with a beautiful location. Situated on Isola dei Pescatori, one of the Borromean Islands in Lake Maggiore, the hotel sits right on the water front overlooking the sparkling lake and mainland beyond. The closest town is Stresa and the hotel can be reached either by ferry from Stresa, which takes approximately 20 minutes and is a lovely journey costing approximately €3.50 per person per way, or by hotel shuttle boat after the last ferry (around 18:30). There is no need to pre-book the ferry, you can buy tickets from the terminal on arrival, but do call ahead if you would like to take the hotel’s boat service.

The hotel consists of 19 rooms, varying from the standard rooms with a street view, to lake view rooms and suites. Lake view rooms have either a balcony or terrace and all rooms offer an en-suite shower room, complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities, in room safe and wifi throughout the property. Rooms are simple, modern and comfortable with the highlight of this property being the unique location and spectacular view, and for this reason we would recommend choosing a Lake View Room where possible, so that you can really enjoy the surroundings!

The hotel is also a restaurant for guests and non guests and serves a delightful menu of seasonal local cuisine with fresh fish and seafood and a great selection of wines. Breakfast is a generous affair with plenty of fresh Italian and continental options to choose from (and even prosecco!).

With the location on the small island of Isola dei Pescatori, it is definitely worth exploring the island and all of the great restaurants and cafes and charming narrow lanes. Another idea is to take the ferry across to Stresa to explore the town and surrounding landscape, but en route stop at the next island along which is Isola Bella, where you can explore the beautiful palace and spectacular manicured gardens.
