Fleewinter

Chiesa del Carmine is a special place. The 11th century church and its adjoining 18th century farmhouse lies in the heart of an abandoned valley. Now a private estate, the country house and surrounding land has been lovingly restored and developed in to a thriving farm featuring a 5.7 hectare vineyard, ancient terraced olive groves and a truffle wood.

The valley is protected land where the nature and wildlife is abundant and beautiful - the views are spectacular across the ancient woodlands and Apeenine mountains, and is a delightful place to stay for keen walkers and lovers of the great outdoors, as well as those looking to explore the region's towns and villages; the city of Perugia is just 20 minutes drive.

The accommodation consists of the 8 bedroom farm house, which sleeps 14 people, and restored church which houses a large well equipped kitchen and dining room. The style of the property is very much in keeping with the history and surroundings - think luxury rustic country house finished to high standards with exposed beams, warm furnishings, tiled floors and beautiful antique furniture.

Farmhouse:

The ground floor features three double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms with showers and private terraces, and one single room (this room is not en-suite).

Ancient Church:

This peaceful space has been lovingly restored and furnished with sofas, grand piano, large pull-down screen and projector (perfect for cosy movie nights - there is a great DVD library!). Just off the main sitting room is a dining room that seats 14, wood burning stove (great for cooler nights). Through the doors leads to a beautiful outdoor dining terrace covered with a pergola and featuring a large dining table that comfortably seats 14.

The gorgeous farm-house kitchen is located at the front of the church and is well equipped for cooking family meals; double oven with 6 gas hobs, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and microwave. Outside of the kitchen is further outdoor dining terraces with barbecue facilities for those all-important summer BBQs!

The gardens feature an organic vegetable garden where guests are free to take their pick. There is also a tennis table in the garden and gorgeous swimming pool (with outdoor heated shower and toilet in the pool house).
