Ion City is a modern small boutique hotel located in the centre of Reykjavik. The hotel lobby is sleek and funky yet cosy and welcoming. This is a great modern hotel ideally suited for your first or last night in Reykjavik or even for 3 nights or so where you can base yourself in Reykjavik and venture out daily for excursions and tours further afield such as in the south or west of Iceland.

The hotel has 18 rooms all of which are contemporary, with comfortable beds, views of the city with all the mod cons, minibars, dressing gown and slippers and lovely organic Icelandic toiletries. The suites have their own private sauna, located either out on the balcony or contained within the en-suite bathroom. The hallways are ultra modern with incredible lighting effects and dark mirrored walls. The rooms have been diligently soundproofed too.

Sumac has a great vibe with an interior style inspired by the nostalgic atmosphere of the city of Beirut, Lebanon.
