Hotel Budir boasts an absolutely beautiful location surrounded by mountains, lava fields and set on a lake not far from the glacier. It is situated on the south side of the Snaefellsness pensinsula and Is only a couple of hours drive from Reykjavik.

Hotel Budir is simply charming and designed to look and feel more like an elegantly style luxurious home as opposed to a hotel. You will experience a warm, friendly atmosphere and service as staff treat every guest as an individual and will do all they can to enhance your stay.

There are 28 double rooms in the hotel all individually decorated and charming. There are nine deluxe rooms, ten standard twin rooms, and eight queen rooms in the attic. There's only 1 Master Suite which we highly recommend if it's available! All rooms come equipped with TV, DVD-player, phone, WiFi and hair dryer.
The restaurant offers some exquisite contemporary dishes based around the traditional Icelandic dishes, specialising in lamb and fish.

The options for exploring are endless. There are vast lava fields, mountains and glaciers to hike across and up. You can even do some ice climbing, caving and go for a super jeep excursion. Horse riding is another popular excursion particularly due to the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

Relax in the lounge with a drink from the bar after a long day of exploring, admiring the views of the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean or sit in the sitting room/library area where you can peer through the telescope with views over the lake and mountains.
