Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon has a wonderfully remote but key location, situated between Skaftafell and Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, two of Iceland's most spectacular natural attractions.

This contemporary hotel offers the perfect place to relax for a night or two when exploring this part of the south (east) coast. Whether you stay in a standard, deluxe room or suite, they all feature lovely views of the spectacular scenery. The restaurant has a fantastic reputation and many travel from Reykjavik just to dine here and escape to this beautiful part of the country.

All the rooms are modern and minimalistic in design featuring large windows through which you can observe the dramatic mountain or ocean views. All rooms feature satellite television, coffee and tea making facilities, refridgerators, a safe, Wi-fi and more.

The restaurant is located beneath the highest peak in Iceland, Hvannadalshnúkur and offers seating for up to 180 people (as it is very popular!). The dishes are inspired by the Icelandic nature surrounding the hotel and the emphasis is placed on quality and creativity. Happy hour is every day from 16-18 on draft beers and House wines at the bar. Bar menu available from 13:00-22:00.

The outdoor area leading off the restaurant and bar is a fantastic place to relax with a drink and take in the views and truly unique atmosphere. This really is a place to dine at and stay in the middle of nowhere but right amongst the natural gems of the south.
