Castellare di Tonda offers a collection of 12 Tuscan style farmhouses dotted in the nature reserve, all have been divided into specially designed holiday apartments, each tastefully renovated to include all modern amenities while maintaining traditional Tuscan charm and style. Every farmhouse has its own private pool and garden, providing privacy and relaxation away from hectic and noisy places, here you feel like the clock is turning slower

Children of all ages are welcomed with open arms. While the outdoors provides a great deal of education and entertainment, our youngest guests will make new friends and enjoy their holiday just as much as their parents at the ‘Kids-Club’.

Riding:
The guests are encouraged to experience as much of the landscape as possible by horseback. They own a large number of horse and can accommodate any riding level. Many of the horses are Quarter Horses and Paints, but they also have a selection of Criollo and Fjord horses for trail riding.

Expert riders (English or western) can try the exciting sport of Reining. There is an international qualified trainer available for private lessons, and a selection of highly schooled purebred Quarter horses well trained in the higher school movements of competitive reining.

The equestrian centre at Castellare di Tonda is one of the best private riding schools in Tuscany, offering a full-sized indoor arena for group riding lessons, or private reining lessons. For beginner lessons there is a covered round pen, and outside you will find a full-size outdoor arena as well. As a breeding stud and horse training centre, the school horses are of a very high standard. Horse and animal lovers will enjoy watching the foals and young horses living free in a 20-hectare turnout paddock.

The horse trekking guides and riding instructors are expertly qualified with E.N.G.E:A (Italian Equine Tourism Federation) and speak fluently English, Italian and German.
