Fleewinter

At Fleewinter we are not big fans of large hotels but the team at Kontokali have worked very hard to achieve the atmosphere and friendly feel of a smaller establishment. Couple that with great views, lovely location and extensive facilities and this makes for a perfect relaxing break, especially if combining with a sailing trip.

There is a large choice of rooms including bungalows with private gardens (and even plunge pools) and a choice of sea, marina and garden views. There are also family rooms with dividers to create separate sleeping areas. All rooms have been recently renovated and have all the usual facilities (mini-bar, air-con, TV, garden or balcony, en-suite shower or bathroom)

Outside there are extensive gardens, different pool areas and two private beaches separated by a watersports centre (water-skiing, canoes, paddleboards, etc - all payable locally)

There is a lovely spa with complimentary indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna and you can of course book private treatments

There are a choice of restaurants and dining options although with such good places to eat outside the hotel, we'd suggest you go for the B&B option and then use our restaurant guide.

There is also a free shuttle each day into the Corfu town - people are often surprised at what a picturesque place it is with the Venetian and British parts of the fortifications, loads of pavement cafes and fine-dining options in the evening. Also good shopping and a great atmosphere at any time.

Finally if the stunning views out to sea look familiar, then you have probably been watching the Durrells TV series as the action is mostly based at a traditional Corfu villa, literally next door - a short paddle away...
