The gorgeous, historical Winter Palace hotel was built in 1907 as a private residence for his Majesty King Farouk, the King of Egypt at the time. Since then the hotel has been frequented by European Royal families and other personalities including Princess Diana and the famous English egyptologist Howard Carter.

The elegant Winter Palace Hotel is distinguished for its authentic Victorian style that reflects the remarkable character of the 19th century. The building conserves the original structure – the grandiose staircase and most of the furnishings and decorations are originals.

The elegant La Corniche restaurant offers an international menu in an elegant atmosphere, whilst high tea can be taken in the Victoria Lounge.

The lovely Nile Terrace is perfect to drink your cup of tea or enjoy the sun setting on the Nile while sipping your favourite cocktail.
