Mawamba Lodge has a privileged location in the evergreen Tortuguero Canals, nestled on a strip of land between the Caribbean and the Canals. Traveling to Tortuguero is an adventure by itself, as it can only be reached by air or boat. Mawamba’s experience is laid-back, with quiet boat outings to discover the jungle to the adrenaline filled kayak tours.

Mwamaba Lodge offers 2 different kinds of rooms: Standard and Superior. Each rustic room here features wooden décor and comes equipped with a seating area and a private bathroom with a shower and toilet. They also include a private balcony with a hammock and rocking chairs. Standard rooms are 21 m2 and offer a choice of either king-size, one double and a single or 2 double beds. Superior rooms are larger, adults-only rooms secluded at the end of the property and feature king-size beds.

For dining options, the hotel offers two restaurants: Mamba, located by the pool and close to the beach, offers buffet style meals all day and Katonga, floating restaurant offers lunches and dinners on board, while quietly cruising along the Tortuguero Canals.
Mawamba also offers a poolside bar and a quite coffee and reading room.

At Mawamba Lodge you will find an outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool. As well as lush tropical gardens and direct beach access for leisurely walks. It also features 2 butterfly gardens, frog gardens and nature trails and a gift shop.
