Chile´s modern capital, Santiago, is located in the centre of the country and exists out of a wonderful mix between historical and modern buildings. It is a very friendly and cosmopolitan city with elegant boulevards, numerous green parks and verdant hills. Adorned by the Andes mountains, Santiago can be visited all year round.
The best areas to stay are Providencia, Las Condes, Bellavista and our personal favourite, Lastarria. As in most big cities, you will find both hotel chains and a plethora of delightful boutique hotels.
