The Aubrey is an Australian/English founded and operated small friendly boutique hotel built originally as a family mansion in 1927. Restoration took over 3 years and the doors were finally opened in 2010 when there were very few boutique hotels in the capital, thus making the Aubrey the true pioneer of this accommodation class in Santiago. The location in bohemian Bellavista is fantastic as you will be at the doorstep of many gastronomic delights and cultural hotspots. The neighbourhood will stun you with its colourful streets, architecture and the lushness of Cerro San Criistóbal, a nature and tree-clad oasis in the city. Bellavista is also the place where Pablo Neruda, Chile’s famous Noble-laureate poet, decided to build his home in the 1950s, nowadays become a living museum celebrating his life and works.
The Aubrey offers 15 rooms and they all come with a fusion of art, warm comfort and spacious design. Each one has particular details that make each room personalised and unique. They all come with Eucalyptus/Roble hard wood flooring, free Wi-Fi, LCD TVs with cable tv, air conditioning, central heating, in-room safe, complimentary mineral water, mini bars, hairdryers, MP3 dock, hansgrohe rain showers, fine Brazilian cotton sheets, feather down duvets and pillows and high quality Rosen beds, working desks, twice daily housekeeping. Some have lovely balconies too!
A stay at the Aubrey will include a daily breakfast with eggs cooked to order, freshly ground Colombian coffee, fresh seasonal fruits, pastries, homemade breads. You can also enjoy an afternoon tea served in the dining room and a complimentary welcome pisco in the hotel’s piano lounge bar. And when you want to relax, why not do so by the heated outdoor swimming pool with bar service.
