Live the experience of staying in an authentic mansion in the south of Chile, with all the comfort of a modern hotel. Casa Kalfu is a 19-room boutique hotel, housed in a building built in the 1940’s by German settlers. It was totally remodelled to become a cosy yet modernly equipped hotel, offering great service, facilities and a great location in Puerto Varas.

It is lovingly run by the owners who are experienced hoteliers and they also employ young hotel professionals who have graduated from universities in the region.

Casa Kalfu means Blue House in Mapudungun language, and this is exactly what the hotel is, a lovely blue building on the corner of a quiet street and only 200 metres from the shores of the lake. The hotel has a welcoming lounge, a bar and breakfast included in your stay.

An important contribution to save the architectural, historical and cultural heritage of the city of Puerto Varas. Redesigned by the architect Eladio Susaeta (PUCV) and recycled by the builder Luis Bahamondes.

The 19 rooms are around 23 sqm thus offering plenty of space. They come with central heating and large private bathrooms with free amenities. They boast typical Patagonian decoration, LCD TV with cable, safe, Wi Fi free of charge throughout the hotel, markers, artistic looms designed by the Chilean-Spanish artist Kika Xicota and quality sheets. They can either be double, twin or triple.
