Each of the three Cayman Islands has something different to offer. If you have more than one week, we recommend spending the first week on Grand Cayman getting your fill of activity while enjoying the Caribbean sun, then relaxing for a few days on one of the quieter sister islands. Here are a few ideas of how to spend your time on each island.

Grand Cayman is where the action is

  • Stretch out on the soft sand of Seven Mile Beach and be sure to catch the sunset here with a cocktail in hand
  • Indulge your inner foodie at one of the island’s many fine dining restaurants or casual eateries where quality (and quantity) are never compromised.
  • Go for a horseback ride along the beach and into the warm Caribbean Sea
  • Kiss a southern stingray on the shallow sandbar of Stingray City
  • Sail across the bay to Rum Point for a mudslide, the restaurant’s most-ordered beverage
  • When the new moon rolls around, take a nighttime kayaking trip to look for bioluminescence
  • Dive or snorkel the coral-rich waters teeming with life
  • Play a round of golf at one of the island’s two courses
  • See the underwater world from inside a submarine or glass bottom boat
  • Look for blue iguanas at Queen Elizabeth II Botanical Park
  • Enjoy a bit of pampering in one of the island’s many luxurious spas
  • Let your imagination run wild as you explore caves filled with strangely shaped stones

Cayman Brac is a nature lover’s delight

  • Check out the breathtaking bluff that gave the island its name
  • Look for Jamaican fruit bats hanging from the ceiling of Bat Cave
  • Dive the Captain Keith Tibbets and Wilderness Wall
  • Walk the trails of Brac Parrot Reserve
  • Look for frigate birds, brown boobies, and peregrine falcons, all resident on the island
  • Crisscross the island on the network of hiking and walking trails or circumnavigate it by bicycle

Escape it all on Little Cayman

  • Relax into island time where iguanas have the right of way and the rustle of palm leaves is about as loud as it gets
  • Hop into a hammock, stare at the sea, and take it easy
  • Kayak to Owen Island where you may feel as though you’ve found your own private hideaway
  • Dive the rich waters of Bloody Bay Marine Park, considered the most breathtaking drop off in the Caribbean
