Getting around within the Cayman Islands is quite easy.
Between islands, Cayman Airways has regular flights throughout the day. It takes well under an hour to fly between Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac or Little Cayman. The flight between the two smaller islands is approximately 10 minutes. Flights are easy to book directly although we’re happy to advise or assist.
On Grand Cayman, taxis are readily available within George Town but for a few days of sightseeing and exploring, it’s worthwhile to hire a car. Roads are excellent and well signposted and will take you past unique formations such as blow holes and beaches you might be able to have all to yourselves. If you’d like assistance with car hire, we can arrange that for you or recommend reputable companies should you prefer to organize it yourself once you arrive. From December through April, we recommend reserving in advance, especially if you require a particular vehicle or size. Driving is on the lefthand side of the road.
On Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, bicycles or a moped are usually the only form of transport you’ll need once you’re settled at your hotel or villa. Many hotels have bicycles available and mopeds are readily available for hire. Your accommodation can also help with transport by car for longer journeys on the islands.
