Something Special

The Carnival

The biggest party in the world takes place across Brazil every year, lasting almost a week in late February or early March. Each city celebrates Carnival differently, from the giants boneco masks of Olinda to the trios elétricos of Salvador, from the massive samba parades of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo to the student-style street parties of Ouro Preto or the sporty beach parties in Ilha do Mel. The Carnival styles vary in each region, from samba to funk-samba in Rio, reggae and axe in Salvador, frevo and maracatu in Pernambuco etc. We recommend to book early to benefit from starting prices. The next Carnival will take place between 9-14 February 2018.

New Year’s Eve Celebration

The fireworks of Copacabana are the New Year’s Eve highlight in Brazil! The beautiful beach in Rio de Janeiro is the place to be for this. Millions of people dress in white and gather near the sea, floating flowers across the water. The explosive midnight firework shows are much anticipated. It’s a magical celebration that includes African rituals, songs and prayers. After the fireworks, there are many free concerts performed by world-famous artists.
