Located in the state of Minas Gerais, around 3.5hrs to the north of Rio de Janeiro, the hotel is part of a vast private reserve which has been working on preservation and sustainability initiatives such as the reintroduction of native flora species and protected animals for the past 40 years.
The main house within the farm, is a renovated building with high ceilings, offering 8 sumptuous guest rooms with a traditional decoration, together with a living room and a dining room. There are also two private houses 100m away from the main house.
In more than 4 thousand hectares of land, Comuna do Ibitipoca has gathered a great diversity of landscapes, attractions and emotions. In all there are about 200 km of trails that lead you to incredible discoveries. The tours can be done on foot, by bike, on horseback or in a 4x4 car. It also provides a Spa, where experienced therapists promote an authentic communion between people and nature. In addition, it is possible to do Yoga in the morning.
Comuna do Ibitipoca produces most of what is used in the cooking, thus ensuring the menu offerings are exceptionally fresh. The chef was trained by renowned Claude Toisgros and the dinner menu consists of his dishes. In addition, breakfast and lunch are a real invitation to try the typical food of their land.
