Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive in Rio

Welcome to Curitiba, a city where modern urban planning meets abundant green
spaces and rich cultural diversity. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your private
bilingual guide and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, you’ll have the
afternoon free to start exploring the city at your own pace. Consider a visit to Curitiba’s renowned Botanical Garden, an iconic symbol of the city, with its beautifully designed French-style gardens and the stunning greenhouse.

For your evening, you might choose to stroll through the lively neighbourhoods, sample
local cuisine at a street market, or admire the architecture around Praça Tiradentes. Overnight at Quality Hotel Curitiba in a superior room with breakfast.

Day 2 - Serra Verde Express to Morretes

Start your day with a private transfer from your hotel to the Curitiba train station, where you’ll board the iconic Serra Verde Express. This 3-hour journey from
Curitiba to Morretes takes you through Brazil’s largest conservation area of the Atlantic Forest, along a historic railway built in 1885. As you pass through tunnels, over viaducts, and across lush mountains, you’ll be captivated by stunning views of
the Serra do Mar and Marumbi State Park. Upon arrival at Marumbi Station, your adventure continues with the Rochedinho Trail. This hike offers breathtaking views of the Marumbi Mountain Range, Paraná’s coastline, and the historic railway weaving
through the Serra da Graciosa.

Along the way, discover natural pools formed by the Rio Taquaral, perfect for a refreshing stop. The trail is accessible even for beginners, making it a delightful and
engaging challenge for all. After your hike, a private transfer will take you to your charming pousada in Morretes for the evening. Overnight at Casario 1915 Inn, in a suite room with breakfast.

Day 3 - Morretes to Ilha do Mel

Embark on a private bike tour through the charming villages of Morretes, where you’ll
cross rivers, pass through scenic landscapes, and visit a local cachaça distillery. Enjoy the natural beauty of waterfalls, lakes, and lush forests as you ride along this 23 km dirt road.

Afterward, take some time to relax and have lunch at your leisure (not included).
In the afternoon, your private English-speaking driver will transfer you from Morretes to Pontal do Sul, where you’ll board a regular boat for a 30-minute ride to Ilha do Mel. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodation and enjoy the island’s tranquil atmosphere. Keep in mind, there are no ATMs on the island, so be sure to have cash for your stay. Overnight at Pousada das Meninas in a chalet with breakfast for 2 nights.

Day 4 - Ilha do Mel

Spend the day exploring Ilha do Mel at your own pace, whether relaxing on its serene
beaches, strolling scenic trails, or visiting landmarks like the Gruta das Encantadas. For a bit of adventure, consider renting a bike or trying surfing at Praia Grande.
For a truly unique experience, we recommend an optional private boat tour to
Baía dos Golfinhos and Ilha das Peças. This tour takes you to deserted beaches and offers a unique cultural experience with the local caiçara community.

Day 5 - Ilha do Mel to Curitiba

Bid farewell to the serene Ilha do Mel asyou board the regular boat back to Pontal do Sul, a peaceful 30-minute journey across the water. Upon arrival, your private driver and bilingual guide will be waiting to accompany you on a scenic transfer back to Curitiba.
