Exploring Brazil

Brazil tropical paradise: Fernando De Noronha island

The paradise on earth that is Fernando de Noronha is composed of about 20 volcanic islands bathed by the Atlantic Ocean off Brazil’s North East Coast. It is reachable from the country’s mainland and via regular flights from either Recife or Natal so it is the perfect extension if you want to finish your Brazilian holiday in one of the country’s most idyllic places.

The archipelago’s beauty is magical and unquestionable. The crystalline waters are a mix of greenish tones that, as they increase in depth, oscillate between shades of blue. The golden sands of the beaches are a beautiful contrast to the colours of the ocean and the marine life is aplenty, making snorkelling a wonderful, joyous experience. The verdant hills of the land can offer great opportunities for treks and exploration.

A World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the archipelago is divided into two coasts: the Mar de Dentro, facing Brazil, and the Mar de Fora, facing Africa. The beaches in front of the Brazilian territory include Sancho Bay, Bay of Pigs, and Cacimba do Padre, considered by many the most beautiful in Noronha. Dolphin Bay is perfect for watching the eponymous mammals and Sueste Bay and Lion Beach are ideal for finding turtles. It is also on this side that the sun sets, creating an unforgettable landscape with the beaches of Conceição or Boldró in the background. On the other side, Atalaia Beach is a natural aquarium and perfect for snorkelling or diving if you want to discover the underwater beauty in more depth.

This itinerary is perfect for anyone who want to discover a slice of Brazilian paradise that is often overlooked by the international tourist. It is ideal for an active holiday, a unique honeymoon or if you simply want days of relaxation surrounded by pristine, natural beauty
