Little Vumbura is located on a wooded island in the northern reaches of the Okavango Delta. The lodge houses 5 double en-suite tented rooms and 1 family tent. Four of the double tented rooms are equipped with twin beds, and 1 with a king-sized bed. The family tent sleeps 4 people and is made up of 2 interleading bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with each bedroom having its own entrance. All tents are spacious and light with beautiful views over the Delta.

The main area at Little Vumbura is made up of an open-sided lounge area, as well as a dining area with a large wooden dining table. Many of the meals are served buffet-style in this area and can be enjoyed at the long dining table, or at smaller individual tables. There is also a small library with comfortable armchairs, and a wooden swinging chair, where guests can laze away the afternoons reading books or magazines about the Delta. Evenings can be spent around the fire pit, sharing stories of the day’s activities. There is also a small plunge pool to cool off in during the hot summer afternoons.

Being a wildlife-dense region surrounded by water, the activities at little Vumbura are centred around water as much as land-based game viewing. Guests can enjoy morning, afternoon and evening game drives, where they will have the chance to see lion, leopard, elephant, sable and buffalo during the day, and porcupine, aardwolf, serval, large spotted genet and lesser bushbaby at night. Guests can also explore the Delta via the traditional dugout canoes, or via boat. There are also nature walks, fishing and birding excursions, as well as hot air balloon rides from April to mid-October.

Little Vumbura offers couples and families a unique getaway in a beautiful wildlife-dense region of the Okavango Delta. Speak to us about how to include a stay at Little Vumbura in your Southern African safari holiday!
