What can you do at Rebali Riads?

What can you do at Rebali Riads?

The only limitation is what you can fit into your holiday.  While staying at the beautiful Rebali Riads in Essaouira, Morocco, there’s no shortage of things to do.  Enjoy the Hammam, go kitesurfing, camel riding, take a quad bike ride, play some golf, take a cookery class, relax with a yoga session, visit the local town, enjoy a Berber lunch, play tennis with your family or other guests, look for turtles in the gardens… the list goes on!

While we strongly recommend only booking a couple of things before you travel, so that should you arrive and immediately wish you had a few days next to the pool you haven’t double-booked yourself, there’s very little that cannot be arranged during your holiday to Rebali Riads.

Lie by one of Rebali’s pools

We understand this isn’t for everyone, but spending one afternoon lying by the pool is a must.  Especially when there’s a phenomenal team who seem to deliver mint tea, biscuits, pastries and other such delights just when you want them.

Rebali’s pools are heated in the winter (extra cost for villas with private pool), and solar-heated in the summer.  The beach is nearby, but the Moroccan coast can be breezy (which is why the surf is so great…) so the pool is a great place to kick back and relax with a book.

Ride a camel through sand dunes or gallop the beach on a horse

Feeling the need for speed, but not a fan of quad bikes or buggies?  Then ask Mohamed and Fatima to arrange a camel or horse ride along the beach for you.  The team only work with high-welfare partners, so you can rest assured the steeds that arrive will be healthy and happy.  Feel the wind in your hair as you and your trusty partner sprint across the sand!

Or, if that’s just a bit too cavalier, spend tranquil hours in the garden searching for chameleons, turtles and other mysterious inhabitants…

Visit the local markets before trying your hand at Moroccan cuisine

Moroccan food is famous, with good reason.

Visit the morning market with a guide to pick up fresh fruit and vegetables, headily exotic spices and whatever else takes your fancy, before returning for a private lesson with a Moroccan chef.

Enjoy your delicious creations in your private Riad with your friends and family.

Relax and rejuvenate with a visit to the Hammam

Rebali’s beautiful on site spa is the perfect place for a relaxing massage.  Enjoy the Moroccan ritual of Hammam, and feel cleansed and revitalised.

Traditional methods and soaps are used to wash away a hard day of relaxing by the pool, and Rebali’s spa manageress will ensure that any knots or tension in your muscles is soothed away.  Bliss.

If you’re feeling energetic…

Then there’s a tennis court in the gardens to burn off some of the calories after days of feasting on incredible food cooked by Rebali’s chefs.

Or arrange a private surf or kitesurf lesson, and take advantage of the consistent breeze on the beach.

Enjoy being surrounded by a wonderful team

Rebali’s team are more than just Riad staff – they’re the extended Moroccan family you didn’t know you belonged to.

Mohamed and Fatima have worked tirelessly to create a welcoming atmosphere, that keeps guests coming back year on year to Rebali Riads.

If you’ve got this far in our blog post, then you deserve a pat on the back.
