Hi! I am Lynn
Originally from Luxembourg, I have been lucky enough to pursue my passion for travel ever since leaving. Nowadays, I can say that I lead a nomadic life, enjoying the opportunity to work from anywhere in the world and “flee the winter” whenever I can!
My passion for travel is intrinsic to who I am. I am the happiest while on the move and exploring new places. Being part of the Fleewinter family is a dream come true, as it allows me to discover new wondrous cultures and be able to share my passion with others. It is my privilege to help you discover the magic of my destinations: Japan, Thailand, Egypt and Barbados.

Of course the Pyramids are must-sees and cannot be missed, but boarding a traditional sailboat and cruising down the Nile is, in my opinion, one of the most memorable experiences you will ever have in Egypt.
Sail the calmness of this iconic river and immerse yourself in the Egyptian history, explore the temples along the Nile, and enjoy the sunsets! Absolute bliss.
I simply love the concept of a Nile cruise, as it is a journey of exploration but also a spiritual one. You are discovering the historical wealth of ancient Egypt, but you also feel a sense of presence in the moment, in perfect harmony with nature, the landscapes and the surrounding peace.
LYNN’S INNATE LOVE FOR ASIA
Being half Asian myself, this continent has attracted me since a young age. I can proudly say that there are almost no Asian countries that I haven’t travelled to!
There are two I hold particularly dear in my heart. Japan always dazzles me with its culture and diversity, and Thailand is my home for a few months every year.
The first time I set foot in Japan I was in awe of its unique culture and stark contrasts. A land where ancient traditions are wonderfully balanced with the modern and futuristic aspects of the country.
I have a confession to make. When I travel to Japan the cultural differences are very striking, but this adds to the charm of the country. And every time I go to Japan I am just amazed by their punctuality and preciseness in everything!
And the food? Definitely one of my favourite treats that Japan offers! I simply love the rich variety and the scrumptious taste. The meticulous presentation is a feast for the eyes too and hard to top.
Thailand was the first country I ever travelled to as a young adult, and I loved every aspect of it!
It’s a destination that ticks all the boxes for me and offers all that I love: excellent food, diverse nature, abundant wildlife, history and culture, friendly locals, and enjoyable weather.
I go back to Thailand regularly, not only to travel but also to live there for a while, and every time I leave the country, I can’t wait to return.
My favourite part of my Thai life? The (almost) daily Thai and foot massages I treat myself with.
Barbados is a bit different from my other destinations, but is totally enchanting. I can help you find the perfect rental apartment, townhouse or villa for you and your family.
My property portfolio for Barbados is extensive, as we work with all the main local suppliers on land, so whatever you’re looking for, the chances are I have the perfect accommodation for your relaxing sunshine break.
Barbados has got it all: delicious food, the friendliest people ever, white sand and turquoise water… not to mention the delicious homemade rum punch with a pinch of nutmeg that will make you fall off your feet!
My favourite moment in Egypt is watching the beautiful sunset onboard my favourite dahabiya sailboat while sipping a Mango juice and feel the boat drifting calmly along the river.
Feeling the soft breeze on my skin while admiring the lush palm trees by the Nile banks, and the dunes behind them is an image and feeling that I will keep in my memory forever.
There are some journeys and moments in life that are hard to describe, and can only be understood if tried.
For me, one of these, is the sense of peace and calm that sailing on the Nile brings, an experience that has to be lived in life!
My personal highlight in Japan, was staying at an authentic ‘Ryokan’. These are Japanese traditional Inns, where you do not simply go to sleep, they offer an experience in itself!
Starting with the food – I am a real foodie as you might have noticed! – you are served in a traditional way with impeccable manners and warm hospitality, the most delicious homemade multi course dinner.
This always delights me, and besides, I also love to wear the traditional yukata (Japanese robe) and soak in the hot spring waters of my private outdoor bath before going to sleep. Can there be a better way to end the day?
The Old Cataract is my absolutely favourite place to stay in Egypt. Set in the tranquil Nile surroundings, the Old Cataract Hotel is one-of-a-kind hotel.
I love its legendary luxurious heritage ambiance and its charming Moorish architecture.
Its peaceful location in a particularly beautiful part of the Nile creates serene outdoor spaces and stunning views.
One of my favourite things to do is to relax with a drink on the bar’s balcony, from where I can enjoy the lovely ambiance and the gorgeous sunset in front on the West Bank of the Nile.
