Marbree loves: Hiking in Bhutan
This epic adventure begins in the Kathmandu Valley and continues into Bhutan for walks and treks through remote villages, up to temples, across mountain passes, and down to the Tiger’s Nest.
Spring and autumn are the best months for mild weather with plenty of festivals and clear trails to hike – both being highlights of any Bhutan trip!
Of course, these are also the busiest months so if you don’t mind the cold, the winter months offer clear skies with stunning mountain views. Summertime is wet with monsoon rains leaving trails muddy and some hotels closed.

Marbree: “In all my travels, nowhere has filled my heart or given me more hope for humanity than Bhutan.
The concept of Gross National Happiness is not a gimmick, it’s the embodiment of living fully, kindly, and with respect for all life. Time there makes my soul sing and my spirit dance.”
Alba: “To me, Bhutan isn’t just a place; it’s a profound source of spiritual inspiration that encourages a beautiful, loving, and respectful attitude toward life.
You see a life philosophy in action that proves it is possible to truly live in balanced and content coexistence with all beings and nature.”
“At least once in every journey, travel by local transport. Some of the most memorable conversations I’ve had have occurred in the back of jeepneys, trucks, and in the passenger seats of tricycles and tuk-tuks. You’ll gain insight into daily life and see your destination the way locals do.” Marbree – Philippines, Borneo, Malaysia, Laos, Singapore, and Cayman Islands Specialist
