Anthea Update – Gibbs Farm, Ngorongoro Crater

By Alisdair Luxmoore on 29th March, 2015

Anthea’s adventures have taken her to the Ngorongoro Crater!

The Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera. The crater, which formed when a large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself two to three million years ago, is 610 metres (2,000 feet) deep and its floor covers 260 square kilometres (100 square miles).

Anthea will be staying at Gibbs Farm.
18 upgraded farm cottages, each nestled in the lush gardens with private veranda and panoramic views. The bathroom has large glass windows looking to the garden and there is a wraparound fire place. Located half way between Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater and en route to the Serengeti National Park.
