It’s unique set up, being part of a non-profit that serves to protect the Rio Bravo conservation area and educate about Belize’s incredible natural world, means that it loves to host groups one at a time for a truly memorable and educational experience. Whether you are a couple, or a large group, you will find the wonderful Melvin as your knowledgeable guide and you can enjoy the peace and quiet of this special place all to yourselves. Spot spider monkeys and howler monkeys, fox, deer, parrot, hummingbirds, toucan and even jaguar here at La Milpa and then explore its fascinating Mayan site that is still today being excavated by archeologists. Your rustic cabin will provide you with everything you need for a comfortable stay and local style meals are eaten together in the main lodge. Relax into a deep, restorative sleep in the night's silence, unless of course you hear the raucous howler monkeys!
