"We have just returned from a truly amazing holiday staying at the beautiful Buttsbury House, two weeks was just not enough we could have stayed forever! Located in a fantastic location only a 10-15 minutes walk to the beach at Payne’s Bay which was fabulous. Should you wish to drive less than 5 minutes away. Hometown only a 10 minute drive away with plenty of restaurants, shops and the supermarket Massy. I cannot thank enough the lovely Beverley and Nirene, they simply are the best and catered for all our needs and more! Will we returning......definitely, the best holiday we have had!" S. C.

"Our extended family of ten came for a one week vacation, and this was our first time to Barbados. As soon as we walked in the front door, it was clear the house was a success. The three couples each got fabulous rooms around the pool, while the kids claimed the remaining two rooms before hitting the pool. In the evening, everyone was comfortable in the TV room while the kids lounged in the "pillow pit," watching the Olympics. Seated at the couches, we could all play games and lounge. In the mornings, we sat on the back patio, watching for monkeys. The best part, however, was Beverly. Beverly took the time to talk to the kids, learn about our family's dietary needs, and then to cook local meals specially prepared so everyone could enjoy them. The flying fish was fabulous. The marlin was even better. The plantains and fried potatoes were huge hits. And the birthday meal she cooked for our son? "The best birthday ever." The beach is a five minute drive down the hill to Paynes Bay. Or, park at Holetown beach for a great local vibe (rent a beach chair, enjoy the beach-side food and drinks, rent a jet-ski, go snorkeling, etc.). A few more minutes down the road is Folkstone Marine Park for even better snorkeling and fewer people, albeit a much smaller beach. At the end of every day, we were thrilled to come home, have a pina colada by the pool, and then enjoy Beverly's great cooking. Buttsbury was a great choice. D. F.

"ABSOLUTE BLISS! Immediately upon entering, it felt like being whisked away to a private utopia. The decor, the atmosphere, the serenity, the layout of the property, the friendly and efficient staff, the whole package was pleasantly overwhelming and jaw-dropping. Whether lounging in house or the garden, going off on activities, starting and ending the day in Buttsbury was absolutely divine, I could not have asked for more. Great location on the west coast meant a beach to watch the sunset or relax on was never too far away. Amenities in the house were more than adequate, phone, internet, & AC. I genuinely do not have a bad word to say about my experience - dream of returning there soon! M.H.
