The Kimberley Grande sits alongside the Victoria Highway across from the Celebrity Tree Park and the Lily Creek Lagoon. The legendary Boab trees line the front of the property.
The hotel is situated in Kununurra, located only 2.5km from Kununurra Airport and two minutes from the town centre by car.
From here guests can visit Purnululu National Park and Bungle Bungle range, Lake Argyle, Mitchell Plateau, Ord River and Argyle Diamond Mine. This off road track journeys through a landscape of gorges, waterfalls and cattle stations the size of small European countries. Although Kununurra is a fairly young town, it sits on an ancient landscape where early Aboriginal tribes roamed. In fact, the word Kununurra means ‘big water’ in the language of Aboriginal locals.
The Rooms
The 72 spacious and modern rooms are fully equipped with air-conditioning, 55 inch plasma TV’s, tea and coffee facilities and extra-large showers. All rooms have a 3.5m sliding door that lets in natural light. Outdoor seating is provided to enjoy the full beauty of the Kimberley outback.
The Kings Terrace Rooms (40sqm) are large comfortable rooms featuring a spacious ensuite, 55 inch smart flatscreen TV, modern furnishings and decor, a king bed, coffee and tea making facilities, individually controlled split cycle air conditioning, ceiling fan, WiFi connectivity and mini bar.
The King Garden / Pool View Rooms open onto the resort’s gardens/pool area and feature a 55 inch smart flat screen TV, a King bed with fine linen and a spacious ensuite.
The resort also offers five Spa Suites. Opening onto the resort’s gardens and swimming pool, they offer a spacious bathroom with spa bath and a king bed with fine linen.
The Facilities
A 25m swimming pool is located in the resort's gardens. Along with a restaurant, the hotel has an outdoor pool and a bar. Free WiFi in public areas, free self parking, and a free airport shuttle are also provided. Coin operated laundry with washers & dryers are available for guests to use.
Parking is available out the front of each room. Parking arrangements can be made for larger vehicles such as motor homes or those towing a caravan or trailer.
