“Sunsea resort is beautiful - Fabulous food and location. New Year menu was incredible -all the possible luxury you could wish for! Hard to swim in sea as rough water. Sweet staff in restaurant. No competition for sun loungers which was a pleasant surprise. Not enough going on at night perhaps.” - Frances L, Jan 2015

Located on the tranquil and relaxing golden sandy beach of Mui Ne in South Vietnam, Sunsea is a wonderfully relaxing resort and an ideal place to head for beach time. It is on a particularly lovely stretch of the beach, compared to the far end of the beach which has suffered from erosion.

The resort has two swimming pools, one in front of the pool view rooms, and one infinity pool located on the beach as well as a lovely beach restaurant and bar.

With just 18 rooms and bungalows on the site, the resort feels intimate but spacious. The rooms are smartly decorated with woods, natural stones and cream walls but are brought to life by splashes of colour from silk drapes on the beds. We adore the rooms that have large over-sized bath tubs - some of which are in outdoor bathrooms. All the rooms are spacious here and boast terraces with sitting areas.

The Double and Twin Pool rooms look out onto the resort’s smaller swimming pool or have garden views, they have interior en-suite bathrooms and French shutters that lead out onto a terrace at the front of the room. The Pool View Family Rooms are just a double and twin connected, and this is ideal for families. The Pool View Suites and Garden View Executive Rooms are larger with a sofa and living area in the room as well as an interior bathroom with a large tub. But our favourite rooms, which we think are well worth upgrading to, are the Ocean View Private Cottages. These rooms are circular and have so much character - the bathrooms are extremely spacious and have tubs in a small outdoor courtyard that leads from the bathroom.

Located right on the beach, the Sukothai restaurant is known for its grilled cuisine (including fresh fish and succulent lamb and beef) and delicious Asian cuisine. The restaurant has great beach views which is perfect for a candle-lit dinner or refreshing morning breakfast. There is also a poolside open-air bar, which is very inviting.

The resort is located on the main strip in Mui Ne so there are plenty of surrounding bars and restaurants but it offers seclusion and privacy from the hustle and bustle on the road behind.
