A welcome addition to the scene, the Nam Bo Boutique Hotel is a small property on the banks of the Mekong Delta with fabulous river views. It is a pretty little building and very charming - although it does not have the leisure facilities of bigger hotels that some may crave including a swimming pool, spa or gym.

All seven suites are individually designed and extremely spacious. They are finished in a French Colonial style, with high ceilings and Vietnamese furnishings and artwork. The Junior Suites have a master bedroom and a living room while the Main Suites have a large double-bed, larger living room, bar and space for in-room dining. There are two Corner Suites, which have amazing panoramic views of the Mekong River and surrounding area. It is an ideal base for families as the living room can be converted into a second bedroom in any of the suites.

There is a lovely rooftop fine dining restaurant called l'Escale which is ideal for a special meal, or a cocktail with which to watch the hustle and bustle of the Mekong below. A wine cellar is attached where you can also have a meal in cooler surroundings. The hotel also has a second restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel, which is popular with non-residents too.
