Perfect for those looking to get away from it all, Mango Bay promises a peaceful blend of beauty and isolation. The beach huts are not luxurious but if you?re looking for a secluded spot besides the crashing waves on a white sandy island then this is the place for you.

The resort?s 40 bungalows are hidden in 20 hectares of jungle foliage and gardens along one kilometer of?beach.

The restaurant and bar at Mango Bay are among some of the nicest spots on the island - looking out to the ocean and atmospherically lit with lanterns and candles in the evenings. The cuisine at On the Rocks restaurant is a mix of Asian and western dishes, based on seafood and the finest fresh produce, which is sourced daily from the island?s markets.

The Beach Bar, which serves pizzas, seafood and BBQ meat among other dishes, is open all day long from 10.30am for both lunch and dinner. Lunch is a casual affair, and can be served on the beach, and in the evening it is a delightful place to enjoy the sunset and al fresco dining.

All bungalows are thatched roofed, and have been constructed using natural materials from the island. Designed to celebrate nature, peace and quiet, you will not find air conditioning or telephones in any of the rooms.

All our rooms and bungalows are simple yet beautifully decorated with locally-made four-poster beds, wooden furniture, overhead fans and cotton mosquito nets.?All have wooden shutters to allow sea breeze and wind to freely flow.

Most rooms have outdoor bathrooms overlooking lush vegetation and hot water is provided through solar sources. Rooms and bungalows also feature free wifi, an energy-free ice box for cool drinks, a safe deposit box, and coffee and tea facilities.

The Veranda Rooms are the smallest with communal terraces, while the Rammed Earth Bungalows are slightly bigger with walls made from rammed earth sourced from the island. These are set amongst our gardens and all have terraces and outside bathrooms.

Our favourite room for couples is the Plantation Bungalow, which is extremely spacious with a queen-sized four poster bed, open air bathroomour large private terrace with lounge chairs. Most of them have are directly sea front and some are sea view through natural garden.

The Fisherman Bungalows are ideal for three people as they have a double and single bed while the Family Bungalow is ideal for a family with young children as it has a double, a twin bedroom, and one bathroom. The Reef House is the largest bungalow at the resort with plenty of space and privacy to think, play and relax, It has two bedrooms and two en-suites.

Please note there is no swimming pool at this resort, although it does have direct beach and sea access.

Phu Quoc is the largest island in Vietnam and lies in the Gulf of Thailand just 15 kilometers from Cambodia. Approximately half of the island is forested and the beaches are open and unspoiled. Mango Bay is located on Ong Lang Beach, 7 km North of Duong Dong and the airport - but as the road is unmade this journey can take up to 45 minutes.
