The Maison D'Hanoi Boutique has all the stylish finishing touches that we adore. Tucked away in a typical Hanoian tall, narrow and deep building, the hotel makes the most of its space by using big mirrors and an Asian art deco style that makes it stand out from the crowd.

The long, thin lobby on the ground floor houses the small Yen Restaurant and bar area, which provides a breakfast buffet and all-day dining options. However, if you are staying in the Old Quarter you are surrounded by a wonderful choice of both restaurants and street food stalls.

There are four types of rooms available; classic, superior, deluxe and junior suite. Hanoi is one of the few places where we really recommend customers choose the top-end rooms because the cheaper rooms often have no windows or just an internal window. The Maison D'Hanoi Boutique Hotel is no exception, and we recommend therefore guests opt for the deluxe or suite rooms with external windows.

All rooms are kitted out with air conditioning, free wi-fi, flat screen TVs, extremely comfortable beds with feather toppers on the mattresses, iPod docks and a control panel for the lighting besides the beds. The deluxe rooms have external windows and are quieter as located further back in the hotel - but the junior suites, which we have based our price on, are much more spacious, with city views and well worth the extra ?15 per night. They are at the front of the hotel so not ideal for light sleepers.

One of the six junior suites in the hotel is Japanese themed with a lower ceiling and a floor-style tepchan seating area.

The hotel is located on a central street in the Old Quarter, which sells herbs and spices in all smells and colours among other goods. The Old Quarter is about one hour?s drive from the airport. **Our quoted price is for the junior suite.
