At the Dalat Palace the chandeliers still look like they are gas-lit and the telephones look like the originals from when they first opened in 1922. It is a beautiful hotel that has preserved the opulence of French colonial times to perfection.

The resort overlooks the Xuan Huong Lake of Dalat and is set in five hectares of rolling pine covered gardens, with a lovely spa on site and one of Vietnam?s best golf courses down the road.

The open-air rooms at the Palace Dalat are elegant with 1920s French colonial decor and hardwood flooring. Each room is equipped with a TV, minibar and coffee/tea making facilities. 24-hour room service is also provided.

The resort has five different types of rooms available. The Superior Rooms are handsome but smaller while the Luxury Rooms are much more spacious with a sitting area in the room, However, our rooms of choice at the hotel are the Luxury Rooms with Balconies, which have huge french doors that open out onto the stunning gardens and lake below. In our opinion these rooms are even finer than the bigger and more spacious Suite Rooms and Presidential Suite at the Dalat Palace.

The hotel's fine dining restaurant Rabelais Restaurant has a variety of diverse international and Vietnamese cuisine and the hotel's Le Cosy Bar and Larry's Bar are the perfect place to wind up for a cocktail or two in the evening. Meanwhile the Terrace Cafe overlooks the restaurant's rolling pine covered gardens and is ideal for a lighter snack or lunch.

The hotel has tennis courts and a children's outdoor playground. Guests can work out at the fitness centre or visit the spa for a relaxing massage. Bicycle rental and shuttle services are available.
