This is all about location, location, location. If you are seeking a romantically placed hotel in the heart of Vietnam's central highlands than this is the one for you. The rooms are not the swankiest on offer and the large hotel lacks a little lustre and atmosphere in its communal areas, but the location cannot be topped.

The resort has three different types of rooms on offer. All are spacious, clean and airy but perhaps a little soulless - expect a cold marble floor, dated looking head frames on the beds and gold gilded picture frames on the walls.

The Mimosa wing has the resort's 40 superior rooms, which are spacious, with large en-suites and mountain or garden views. The Deluxe Jasmine rooms are bigger and about half have lake views, while the Camellia Suites are almost twice as large with lake views. The Camelia Suites all have separate living rooms, a double bedroom, a bathroom with two hand basins and a separate guest toilet. Half of the suites are family sized with a second bedroom.

The hotel's large Riesling restaurant offers daily international breakfast buffet and also Western and Asian a la carte for lunch and dinner, while the back of the lobby opens into a cafe and bar area where guests can enjoy a drink looking out to the lake. There is a great terrace upstairs that has fabulous views.

The resort has a spa, inside swimming pool and fitness centre on site.

The resort is located about 20 minutes out of town and the hotel runs shuttle buses in and out of the centre every day.
