Apricot is a luxury hotel overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake in the heart of the Old French Quarter. They possess an impressive spread of original vietnamese paintings and sculptures. The building has a clean neoclassical design and the rooms are elegant and comfortable.

It opened just a year ago and it’s already rated as a five-star hotel and has just been selected for the winners list of the 2016 World Luxury Hotel Awards, so that’s pretty impressive. No wonder though: the setting is gorgeous, the rooftop facilities have amazing views and overall service is top notch.

The hotel has five different room settings: Masterpiece, Gallery, Canvas (lake and city view), Sketch and Studio. All rooms have elegantly carpeted floors, marble covered bathrooms with great amenities and very big and comfortable beds and a great pillow selection. Also, all of them include breakfast (available upon reservation).

The Studio is an apartment room for longer stays that includes living room, dining room and kitchenette. The largest room is the Masterpiece, and has a large living room and full bathroom; the next room in size, Gallery is considerably smaller but still very comfortable with smaller bedroom and living room. Canvas rooms have the bathroom separated and in Sketch rooms some bathrooms have a clear glass division from the bedroom area, so better get it with someone you’re very comfortable with!

Dining options accommodate many preferences and moments of the day: A’telier, the lobby area salon, serves impressive High Tea in the afternoons; L’Artiste, an open-kitchen concept where the chef cooks breakfast to the guest’s preference; Palette, the Asian signature restaurant inspired in the Spice Route; and last but maybe the most groovy of them all: One36 Rooftop Bar, serving great drinks overlooking the lake and city lights.

One of the highlights is the great rooftop pool with views over the lake and a spacious sunbed area. It also has a Spa with very professional staff on site and a very well equipped fitness centre pleasantly overlooking the pool area.

Top location to add, in the middle of Hanoi’s Old French Quarter and right next to Hoan Kiem Lake. Very close to the Opera House, St Joseph Cathedral and many museums, cafes and great nightlife all around.

Our tip: Make sure to let them know upon your reservation if you would like lake or city view!
