Amazing! There is no way we could've found a better spot for our honeymoon. We got married in July '14 and went to St. Lucia for our honeymoon right after. Initially, we were a bit skeptical of the weather around that time and staying in a room with one of the walls being open. We were also worried how we'd sleep at night with noise or bugs crawling in or people? But let me assure you - none of that was a concern as soon as we got there. Weather wise, it was nice. Rained sometimes but rain there is quick showers and then gets sunny within mins. We never complaint about it - even my wife who gets frustrated with humidity messing her hair! We stayed all 5 nights at Ladera in their luxurious Hilltop Dream Suite with a large Hot-tub and a swing on it. The best way to do it. A bit expensive but worth every penny! Specially, since my wife wouldn't be able to enjoy the cold plunge pools in other room types. We were greeted by a very warm staff who gave us a nice cocktail and warm towel to freshen up. We had a personal butler and they gave us a phone so we can call him/her anytime. He took us to our room. As soon as we walked in, our jaws dropped. What breathtaking views and all from our own room!! The suite we stayed in was their nicest villa. Large! with a balcony a huge bathroom with rain shower. The bed was covered with a mosquito net. First couple nights we were a bit anxious of the open wall. One of the nights got super funny. We had just gone to bed and heard a sound. It was dark and rainy - first we thought some animal might have jumped in so we got a bit scared. My wife and I both walked over to the lights, turned em on and realized it was the little waterfall on the pool that we had left on. Phew! After that, we got very comfortable with the idea of open wall. Actually, we looked forward to waking up every morning to that majestic view of the Pitons! All in all, amazing experience, awesome people, gorgeous resort and a dreamy honeymoon - almost surreal! Ladera guests are also able to enjoy the new Mineral Pools in the spa gardens. Drawn directly from the source at the Diamond Mineral Baths near Soufri? (French for sulfur) these restorative waters are available right on property, in newly-built bathing pools. Conveniently located beside the Ti Kaye Pos?pa, guests may include a mineral soak as part of their pre- or post-massage routine, or simply use it to relax after a day hiking or spent at the beach. Originally built in 1785, just before the French revolution, with funds from King Louis XVI, it is rumored that Napoleon's Empress Josephine bathed in these same waters. The new Mineral Pools are complimentary to all guests.
