"Fabulous experience from start to finish, Amazing location. Service is the best we have experienced - real affection and nothing put on for effect. Food is healthy and super tasty. Chalets with private plunge pool is heavenly. The total experience is truly enchanting and absolute value for money. We will return. Also our drivers favourite!" BM

Nestled in a village near the ancient kingdom of Anuradhapura, this resort is tucked away in the Sri Lankan wilderness, promising privacy and relaxation.

The stilted chalets are scattered over 58 acres of natural woodland, each stylishly decorated and equipped with a private plunge pool and sun deck. There is a large living area with an L-shaped sofa, dining table and TV. The bedroom has a king-size bed, dressing area together with tea/coffee making area. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a rain shower, twin basins and complimentary toiletries. The chalets have window walls through-out giving wonderful views of the lush surroundings.

Meals are served according to your schedule and can be taken at anytime. You can choose to dine in the restaurant, by the pool under the stars or even have your meal delivered to your chalet. The gourmet dishes embrace international influences including Western, European, Mediterranean and of course authentic Sri Lankan fare. The underground wine cellar offers a selection of international wines and a wide range of premium brand spirits and cognacs.

The resort boasts a 30 metre swimming pool, a fitness centre and a Balinese spa. There are plenty of other activities available on site including horseback riding, kayaking on the serene Ulagalla Reservoir and archery in the woods. Naturalists can guide guests around the premises and help identify unique flora and fauna. You can also go bird watching or just have a stroll on the nature trails. Indoors, guests can enjoy the pool table and carrom board together with other popular board games.

Often described as an Eco Resort, 50 per cent of the site's energy is generated through solar power; it boasts the largest solar farm in the country. The resort did not fell any trees during construction and has since planted over 1,000 root balled trees on the property. Fresh organic fruits and vegetables are available to guests from the garden.

For the more menial tasks there is a laundry service that provides washing, drying, ironing and folding services. Each chalet has a private butler to assist with any other requirements.
